L’Université des Sciences et de la Technologie d’Oran “Mohamed Boudiaf” (USTO-MB) a été créée en 1971. Elle a été conçue par le célèbre architecte Japonais
Kenzo TANGE. L’USTO-MB est implantée sur 02 sites, IGCMO et le campus principal de Bir El Djir qui couvre une superficie de plus de 100 hectares
L’USTO-MB partage de nombreuses caractéristiques des universités à travers le monde. Elle est l’une des plus grandes institutions de formation et de recherche technologique
en Algérie. L’administration et les Facultés soutiennent le bon fonctionnement de l’Université et contribuent à son épanouissement et sa réussite à la fois sur le plan
national qu’international. L’USTO-MB offre un système de formation du type Licence, Master et doctorat (LMD) conformément au processus de Bologne lequel fut adopté par notre
établissement dès 2004. L’Université est composée de sept facultés, à savoir: Chimie, Physique, Mathématiques et Informatique, Sciences de la Nature et de la Vie (Biologie
et Biotechnologie), Architecture et Génie Civil, Génie Electrique, Génie Mécanique, et un Institut de Sport.
Il y a actuellement près de 20 000 étudiants inscrits, 730 agents d’administration qui soutiennent le corps central académique et 777 enseignants (effectuant des tâches
académiques et de recherche).
L’USTO-MB assure 24 spécialités dans différents domaines de la technologie pour des études de graduation et 44 en post graduation. Elle offre un panel de 62 cours en licence
et 78 en Master dans tous les domaines de la technologie.La recherche est réalisée dans 35 laboratoires agréés.

L’organisation d’une moyenne de 8 à 10 manifestations scientifiques internationales dans divers domaines scientifiques.
L’USTO-MB dispose de locaux modernes et convenablement aménagés, des équipements et des moyens de communication (internet, plateforme WebEls pour visioconférences).
L’USTO-MB continue aussi de travailler pour améliorer la qualité de la vie de son personnel et des étudiants en développant et en invertissant dans la construction de
nouveaux bâtiments et autres installations.
Sur le plan externe, l’USTO-MB a signé plusieurs accords-cadres, mémorandums d’entente, conventions avec des partenaires économiques et institutions nationales mais aussi
avec environ 40 universités à travers le monde.
Du fait des relations qu’entretient notre pays avec des gouvernements amis, quelque 250 étudiants étrangers poursuivent leurs études dans notre établissement, la plupart
d’entre eux viennent des pays Africains.
Enfin, l’USTO est partenaire dans plusieurs projets internationaux, avec la France (Tassili, CNRS, etc.), l’Espagne (programmes PIC programs), le Japon (Sahara Solar Breeder
sur l’énergie solaire), des programmes de Capacity Building du type Tempus (“Signes” pour l’implémentation d’un système numérique d’information des établissements supérieurs
Algériens), des programmes Européens de mobilité Erasmus Mundus (Al Idrisi 1 puis 2, Mare Nostrum), et d’autres réseaux Euro-méditerranéens (AUF, Averroes, UNIMED, JaNAUS
entre des universités Japonaises et Nord-Africaines).
The University of Sciences and Technology of Oran “Mohamed Boudiaf” (USTO-MB) was created in 1971. It was designed by the famous Japanese architect Kenzo
TANGE. The USTO-MB is located on 02 sites, IGCMO and the main campus of Bir El Djir which covers an area of more than 100 hectares
The USTO-MB shares many characteristics of universities around the world. It is one of the largest training and technological research institutions in Algeria. The
administration and the Faculties support the proper functioning of the University and contribute to its development and success both nationally and internationally. The
USTO-MB offers a Bachelor, Master and Doctorate (LMD) training system in accordance with the Bologna process which was adopted by our establishment in 2004. The University
is made up of seven faculties, namely: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Computing, Natural and Life Sciences (Biology and Biotechnology), Architecture and Civil
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and a Sports Institute.
There are currently nearly 20,000 students enrolled, 730 administrative officers who support the central academic body, and 777 teachers (performing academic and research
tasks).
The USTO-MB provides 24 specialties in different fields of technology for graduation studies and 44 in post graduation. It offers a panel of 62 undergraduate and 78 master's
courses in all areas of technology. Research is carried out in 35 accredited laboratories.

The USTO-MB has modern and suitably furnished premises, equipment and means of communication (internet, WebEls platform for videoconferences). The USTO-MB also continues to
work to improve the quality of life for its staff and students by developing and investing in the construction of new buildings and other facilities.
Externally, the USTO-MB has signed several framework agreements, memoranda of understanding, agreements with economic partners and national
institutions, but also with around 40 universities around the world.
Due to the relations that our country maintains with friendly governments, some 250 foreign students continue their studies in our
establishment, most of them come from African countries.
Finally, the USTO is a partner in several international projects, with France (Tassili, CNRS, etc.), Spain (PIC programs programs), Japan
(Sahara Solar Breeder on solar energy), Capacity programs Tempus-type building (“Signs” for the implementation of a digital information system for Algerian higher education
establishments), European Erasmus Mundus mobility programs (Al Idrisi 1 then 2, Mare Nostrum), and other Euro networks -Mediterranean (AUF, Averroes, UNIMED, JaNAUS between
Japanese and North African universities).
